Community Performances
In addition to their winter production, our Shining Stars will represent Ray of Sunshine Theater by performing throughout the community! Showcasing selections from Newsies alongside solos, duets, and small group numbers chosen by the directors, these talented performers will bring theater magic beyond the stage.
Audition Information
How Auditions Work New to our theater? Here’s what to expect! Auditions are divided into three time blocks to ensure each performer has ample time to showcase their talents. We assess vocal abilities, choreography skills, script reading, and overall stage presence/character portrayal.
What to Prepare
- A 1-minute song of your choice.
- Please provide a performance track with no vocals (karaoke tracks work great!).
- Email your track to rayofsunshinetheater@yahoo.com with your start and stop time by Wednesday, Jan 8.
- If auditioning for a specific role, we encourage choosing a song the character sings in the show.
Dance Portion No need to prepare ahead! The choreography will be learned during the audition and performed in small groups.
Casting Information While we’d love to cast everyone, our Shining Stars are our top-level performance group. If your performer doesn’t meet the requirements at this time they will be offered a role in our Center Stage Stars production.
